CONDENSED AEROSOL GENERATORS

Non-pressurized, no piping required & a long lifespan

These fully automatic and independently functioning fire extinguishers were originally developed for use in the aerospace and defence industries. As a high-end fire extinguisher, the extinguishing agent is based on a solid chemical compound that remains completely stable until it is activated. The extinguishing units can be activated manually or automatically by electrics with 6-30V voltage, but also by an independent heat activation device. In the latter case, no external energy source is necessary.

Our condensed aerosol generators are ideal for closed spaces that can contain the gas during and after the extinguishing process to prevent re-ignition.

Our condensed aerosol generators have a extinguishing capacity of 0.2 to 79 m3 per unit. Our smallest units are ideal for closed and narrow spaces like the engine bay of a classic car or switch cabinet. Our larger units can provide fire protection in larger (part-open) spaces. Combining several units in one centrally controlled fire protection system allows for an endless number of possibilities.

The aerosol generated during the extinguishing process behaves like gas and extinguishes the fire both chemically and physically. The conversion of the potassium hydrogen carbonate to potassium carbonate chemically removes oxidants from the burning process.

No fire can take place without oxidation. Since this chemical reaction is a so-called “endothermic” reaction, additional heat is extracted from the system.

Condensed aerosol generators offer the most effective fire extinguishing method!

PRESSURE GENERATING

Specialised powder and water-based aerosol fire suppression systems.

We offer two types of pressure generating aerosol fire suppression systems: powder and water modules. The powder units contain ABC powders. The water units liquids with potassium salts. Inside both units containing powder or water is an aerosol generator. When the generator is activated pressure builds to spray water mist or powder to the desired area of fire suppression.

Our pressure generating aerosol fire suppression systems are suitable for open spaces (per example petrol stations or oil platforms). The water or powder aerosol serves as a blanket to prevent re-ignition of the fire.

Our pressure generating systems are also available in a dozen different sizes. Our smallest unit delivers extinguishing power of 300 grams up to 100 kg for our biggest pressure generating unit. Units can be combined in existing or new fire suppression systems to deliver endless fire extinguishing power.

Our ABC extinguishing powder intervenes directly in the combustion process by interrupting the radical reaction chains running in the flame by means of a so-called wall reaction on the surface of the very fine powder particles (inhibitory or anti-catalytic effect). This enables a sudden success. In the case of fires involving embers, ABC powders are also chemically interfered with in the charring process. This creates a quick insulation layer, which prevents oxygen from coming into contact with the fire material and thereby develops an embroidery effect.

BESPOKE PRODUCTS

We help our customers and distributors with bespoke products and solutions for every fire protection need

Our wide range offers the perfect solution for every application, from a compact extinguisher with a weight of only approx. 100g with a potential of 200l to a large device that can cover spaces of almost 80 m3. All generators can of course be combined into systems with several devices to protect objects of any size. For specific and unusual applications we can create new bespoke units that are tailor-made for the job.

We use proven fire detection techniques for system planning. Special solutions are of course also possible. Our control devices can be connected to existing fire alarm control panels or integrated into larger protection concepts.

In contrast to gas systems, aerosol technology does not make any demands on the objects to be protected, they do not have to be gas-tight, nor do separate storage rooms have to be created or complex lines have to be laid. Aerosol generators are extremely easy to install and only need to be wired. This helps to keep installation costs low and makes maintenance quick and easy.
